What is an Idiom?
An idiom is a phrase or expression whose meaning is different from the literal meaning of the words.
एक ऐसा वाक्यांश जिसका अर्थ उसके शब्दों के सामान्य अर्थ से अलग होता है।

Examples:
to lose heart → to feel discouraged
raining cats and dogs → raining heavily
जैसे: to lose heart = हिम्मत हारना, raining cats and dogs = बहुत तेज़ बारिश होना
