Shall vs Will – Bilingual Lesson and Practice

Clear rules, Hindi–English examples, and two interactive quizzes for confident usage.

Concept overview

English

Shall is mainly used with I and we to make offers, suggestions, or ask for advice.

Will is used for facts, decisions, promises, and requests.

Short forms: 'll (shall/will), won’t (will not), shan’t (shall not, rare today).

संक्षेप रूप: 'll, won’t (will not), shan’t (shall not, आजकल कम प्रचलित)।

Tip: In modern English, “will” is common for future statements with all subjects. Use “shall” with I/we when you want the nuance of an offer or suggestion.
